Our Story

We became incorporated, as Cornerstone Lutheran Church, on March 2, 2011.

Our initial planning and first worship, as a new congregation, was in a rented room in a multi-purpose building on November 10, 2010.  We were there for only two weeks. We then moved to a vacant office building where we worshipped for the next 18 months.  A local fixture business donated an altar, lectern, and office chair.   We outgrew the office building and moved to a 3rd location at St. Paul Lutheran School.  It was here that worship teams were created to set up and put away worship fixtures weekly and prayers guided us to purchase 4.5 acres across the street from Hannibal Park.  With the land purchase we faced the economics of new church building construction and we needed to start saving for that.  Blessedly, we were invited to utilize the former Trinity Lutheran Church building for our fourth location.  We were there for two years before the roof fell in on the sanctuary and we could no longer use that, so we converted the Lentz room of the church building into our worship area.   It was here that the Lord guided us to our decision to build our phase one sanctuary of our new church.  Construction began in 2017 and on January 7, 2018, we held our first worship service in the new building.  We were blessed to retire that construction debt and burn the mortgage papers in July 2021. Construction on phase 2 (fellowship hall, Sunday School rooms and offices) began in 2024, was completed in October 2025 and dedicated on November 2, 2025 with Pastor Mike Williams leading the service.
